Ways to Stay Healthy at Home for 2021
Living in a high-end community in Davao City has many perks. However, the pandemic has made many amenities related to such communities difficult to enjoy, such as pool parties and clubhouse gatherings. With the clearing skies of 2021, such social events may happen again hopefully soon, but for the time being, we’ll be safer at home. Speaking of which, how have you been doing these past few months? We’ve all had our ups and downs, but the important thing is that we still have the drive and vigor to live another day. One way to ensure a calm and rejuvenating 2021 is by prioritizing your health for the rest of the year. Here are ways you can do that.
Walking in the Morning
Despite the current pandemic, staying indoors all day without exposing your skin to the sun and the wind is unhealthy. Sure, it might be tempting to just watch Netflix all day (or in-between your work-at-home sessions), but maintaining a sedentary and lethargic lifestyle will hasten whatever sense of unrest you already have. Take a walk every morning with a mask on and while observing social distancing measures to give yourself some much-needed sunshine and cool air.
Grow Food in Your Garden
You might have participated in that gardening trend that was all the rage last year. If you’re already a plantito/plantita, why not go further and start growing your own food? There’s nothing more satisfying than preparing meals with ingredients that you’ve gathered yourself, from herbs to peas to actual crops. Many high-end real estates in Davao City have yards big enough that you can use for this purpose.
Non-digital Activities
You’re probably reading this on your laptop or phone. The digital world is everywhere, and with the pandemic preventing traditional socialization, we rely on it now more than ever. However, you shouldn’t spend all of your waking hours in front of a screen. Try doing other things in the meantime, like reading a physical book, cooking, or maybe some yoga and meditation. “Detoxifying” yourself from the internet regularly can make you feel less irritable in the long run.
